Paper submission & Publications


The conference will be held in person only. Participation is possible in three variants:

  • Passive participation (as a co-author or without a contribution)
  • Active participation with submitted abstract and on-site presentation
  • Active participation with submitted abstract, submitted full paper, and on-site presentation

All participants are required to register and pay the conference fee, which is the same for all three variants.


Types of Submissions and Paper Format:

Participants are invited to submit an abstract concerning one or more of the subject areas of the conference according to the following instructions:

  • Abstract submission closes April 1, 2024.
  • The maximum length is 2,000 characters, including spaces.
  • Submit the abstract via the conference submission system.
  • Note that it is possible to submit a standalone abstract only or further extend it to a full paper.


Full Paper Submission

After the acceptance of the abstract, prospective authors are invited to submit a full version of the conference paper according to the following instructions:

  • Full paper submission closes May 27, 2024.
  • The required length is no more than 6 pages including results, figures, references, and appendices.
  • Use the provided templates in Word or LaTeX (new templates).
  • Contributions must adhere to our ethical guidelines.
  • Submit the full paper via the conference submission system.

Detailed Submission Instructions:

  1. Log in to the EasyChair conference system.
    • If you have an existing EasyChair account, log in using your username and password.
    • New users, click “create an account” and follow the provided instructions to set up your account.
  2. Select “New Submission” from the top menu.
  3. Follow the prompts and provide the required information:
    • Author(s) information.
    • Title and abstract of your contribution.
    • A minimum of three keywords.
  4. Leave the “Files” section empty at this stage. You will upload the full paper file here later. No PDF version of the abstract is necessary.
  5. Click the “Submit” button to complete your submission. You can revisit your submission at any time by clicking on “Submission #” in the top menu (# represents your submission number). If you need to make any changes to your submission, such as updating information, authors, submitting a new version, or withdrawing your submission, use the links available on the right-hand side.


  • All accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts after paying the conference fee.
  • Full papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings upon successful peer-review procedure and after the conference fee is paid. The Conference Proceedings will be sent to be indexed in the Web of Science CPCI database (the conference proceedings from previous years are already indexed there).
  • After the conference, we will invite authors of the selected papers from MME 2024 to submit high-quality and full-paper versions of their presentations for a Special Issue in the Central European Journal of Operations Research-Springer. Submissions should align with the conference’s scope. Please note that the full papers submitted for the Special Issue will undergo an additional review process in accordance with the journal’s standards. The Guest Editors for this Special Issue are:
